Solosmastana or 16 sacred places are a series of Buddhists sacred places located in island wide in Sri Lanka. It is believed that the Lord Buddha has visited or stayed in this 16 places during the visits to Sri Lanka. Therefore these 16 sacred places are very important and holy places for the Sri Lankan Buddhists.
