Jethawanarama Stupa
Location : Ancient city of Anuradhapura in North Central Province
Importance : Jethawanarama Stupa is an ancient stupa built by King Mahasena during the 3 rd century of AD. Jethawanarama Stupa is the tallest and largest stupa in Sri Lanka and the third tallest structure in the world, with the height of 122 m (400 ft). As per the historical records approximately 93.3 million baked bricks were used in its construction.
