Chilaw Munneswaram Kovil
Location : Chilaw in Puttalama District in North Western Province
Importance : Sri Munneswaram Temple / Chilaw Munneswaram Kovil is an ancient Hindu temple complex. The temple complex is consist with five temples, including a Buddhist temple. The central temple dedicated to God “Shiva” and it is the main and biggest temple. The other temples are dedicated to Gods named Ganesha, Ayyanayake and Kali.
