Kalutara Calido Beach
Location – Kalutara, in Kalutara District in Western Province
Best time to visit – May to September is not suitable due to heavy monsoon rains, other periods are ok.
Key features – Calido beach is one of very special beach in Sri Lanka, because this beach is located on a land extending between the sea and the estuary of Kalu River. Calido beach is very broad beach with golden sand. It is not much Suitable for swimming and bathing due to high waves. There are several luxury hotels and resorts near to the beach in Kalutara
