Anuradhapura Samadhi Statue
Location : Mahameuna Park in Anuradhapura in North Central Province
Importance : Samadhi Buddha Statue / Anuradhapura Samadhi Statue is located at “ Mahameuna” park in the sacred and ancient city of Anuradhapura. This statue is height about 7 feet and carved from dolomite marble. The Samadhi Statue is considered as one of great statue in Sri Lanka. The special and extraordinary fact about the Samadhi statue is that when the statue is observed from three angles, the face features changes to sad, slightly smiling and neutral and it reflect the inner qualities of the Lord Buddha. Therefore, Samadhi Statue is a great statue and it is one of great attraction of both local and foreign tourists.
