Parakrama Samudra is a large reservoir built by King Maha Parakramabahu during the 12 th century. The
capacity of the tank is 134 Million Cubic Meter. Parakrama Samudra is very scenic and attractive ancient
reservoir and it reflects the technology of ancient irrigation engineering.
