Bentota Beach
Location – Bentota in Galle District in Southern Province (1.5 hours from Colombo via Southern Expressway)
Best time to visit – Throughout the year (but August to Oct and Jan to March is the best time)
Key features – Bentota beach is very special beach in Sri Lanka. It is very beautiful and tourists’ hotspot in Sri Lanka. The Bentota river is connecting sea at the Bentota. Therefore, Bentota has very special eco system and unique beach. The Bentota area is well developed for tourism and there are several star classes luxury hotels along the beach. Bentota Beach consists of a Resorts, Villas, Spas and River Cruises also. Tourists can get the experience of river cruise, can see mangroves, birds, and can enjoy fish therapy also. Due to high waves it is not much suitable for bathing and Swimming.
